Space to Grow
A humble little newsletter about space development: what it is, why it benefits every human on the planet, and how to do it so that our grandchildren will thank us. Plus my unique take on space news.
Blame my mom. She took me to my first International Space Development Conference (ISDC) when I was still in junior high, and I have followed in her footsteps and been a space activist ever since. Or at least a space enthusiast… my volunteerism has waxed and waned over the decades but my conviction and passion have never wavered.
“Earth is the cradle of humanity. But one cannot remain in the cradle forever.”
—Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the Russian scientist who developed the basic rocket equations, and the humanist philosopher who gave us the best metaphor imaginable to guide our off-Earth exploration, development, and settlement
If you’re interested in space development, or if you’re just wondering how a person like me could possibly be interested in space development, subscribe and find out!
(These occasional updates will NOT be part of the “Write Well and Publish Wisely” feed, so if you don’t subscribe here, you won’t see them in your email or Substack feed. At least, you won’t if I have adjusted the settings correctly… if I’m wrong, let me know!)
If you hate space development and want to cancel NASA (or ISRO, JAXA, ESA, whatever your local space agency might be called), give me a chance to change your mind.
And if you don’t care one way or the other about the High Frontier but you know someone who does, please share this with them. It will always be free, it will never take up much of their time, and it will make them happy (or happily derisive). What better gift could you give a friend?
I look forward to giving you more Space to Grow in the near future!
